Karen has been running Amy Porterfield’s Facebook Group. She is a Facebook guru and founder of YourGo2Gals. She helps clients all over the world with online and Facebook marketing. She’s the queen bee moderator of a private Facebook group with 6000+ members. She answers Facebook marketing questions. She also has 30 years experience in starting and running a business and used her expertise to start YourGo2Gals.com.

- FBInfluence group was originally started by Amy Porterfield, as the lead trainer, and Sean Malarkey and asked Karen as moderator of the group two and a half years ago. Andrea Vahl is now the lead trainer after Amy stepped out. The group is more on FB Marketing 101.
- A document was prepared by Karen, Two Quick and Easy Ways to Reach Your Organic Reach Significantly that you may access here.
- The first way to increase organic reach for your posts is by using keywords and talking about fun things or feel-good and will only work on posts that are not sales-y or promotional.
- Example keywords: happy, happy dance, so happy, congratulations, so excited, wow, and amazing, to name a few showing positive, uplifting words.
- Example of a promotional posts with the keywords that WILL NOT be effective: Wow, I’m so happy that I’ve got this thing that’s ready to be sold.
- The second way is to leverage your organic reach.
- Create your post on your page.
- Like your post on the page as yourself.
- Share the post from your page to your personal profile.
- From the business page, share, where appropriate, to other groups that you belong to.
- An increase of up to 10,000% on organic reach may be achieved for the above.
- Share to groups via your page so that the link back to your page shows up at the top of the post.
- When sharing the post, don’t ex out anything (link, etc.).
- Whatever text you add when sharing, copy and paste that to the share box because on a link share that won’t carry forward.
- Q: Do you constantly look for new groups to join? A: You could however you don’t want to be in a group and go there just to post but to engage and drive traffic back to you.
- Be part of the right groups.
- When you post to other pages, it shows up on Visitors Post or post by others and not on the page’s timeline, and subjected to the algorithm, as well.
- Make sure that the groups that you’re posting it is appropriate and you’re not spamming the group.
- Private FB group moderated by Karen: YourGo2Gals Facebook Marketing Insiders Club. The group talks about everything Facebook-related — how to increase your organic reach, how to set up your Facebook marketing funnel, how to run Facebook ads and anxillary things (landing pages, contests, email marketing, building email list, etc.)
- The ASK is similar to the elevator pitch but reduced to a 15-second allowing you to get something from people you’re looking for.
- Developing a Facebook strategy would depend on the type of audience you got.
- Set up a Facebook page, have a solid presence in the page, have the page look great and start with pushing out contents and build the fan base, mailing list.
- Run targeted Facebook ads.
- It is recommended to use video posting strategy.
- Upload video directly to Facebook instead of sharing link from YouTube or anywhere else.

- Woobox is a Facebook app to run contests.
- Types of Facebook contests: timeline and hosted one with apps and they have different rules.
- Using Facebook contest is a great way to build a mailing list and build engagements.
- Consistency is the key.
- You are not allowed on timeline contest to say you can only enter by sharing but may be done with the app-based contest.
- Make incentives exciting and related to your business.
- Longer contests better run on as app contest, like sweepstakes.
- For timeline contest, best to run in couple of days and promote ahead of time.
- Announce the time and day of the contest.
- It’s is also suggested to bring in sponsors to bring things into the contest.
- Make sure you have your About page filled up properly.
- Post to pages that are relevant to your targeted audience.
- You cannot advertise on Facebook group so connect your group with a Facebook page.
- Make sure you know why you are creating a group / page and communicate that clearly.
- Make sure your website / link is mobile friendly so people can access on their mobile.
